The Unique Text for Construction (D.P.R. 380/2001) defines: "set of interventions aimed at transforming building bodies through a systematic set of works that can lead to a building body wholly or partially different from the previous one.

• extraordinary maintenance work
• restoration and renovation work
• interventions of new construction
• Urban redevelopment interventions.

Works under the Unique Text:

• Demolition and reconstruction with the same volume and shape as the previous one (with the exception of the provisions for compliance with earthquake regulations)
• Conversion of accessory surfaces into useful and habitable surfaces (such as basements, attics, etc. intended for residential use)
• construction of lift or ascensori o di external stairs (non correlate alla cura dell’abitazione)
• Change of use of the property (i.e. Transition from home to office and vice versa)
• fractionation of housing units
